Wow, i just gained all the respect i had lost for Jay-Z after finding out that the so called Poem and
stance on not saying bitch anymore are actually NOT TRUE. Hip-Hop is a culture and there are certain things that are apart of it and i think for him to write a poem and proclaim he wont use it is definitely not hip-hop. That word is used for both good and bad and who you are as a parent and ur beleifes don't always reflect in your craft and your entertaining. I mean for God sakes, Eminem one of the biggest potty mouths doesn't allow swearing in his house so that goes to show you. And also if this rumor was true, think about it: His mother, his grandmother who raised him and his wife weren't enough to stop using the word? that's what i thought.
From HipHopDX.com
" As far as rumors go, a recent one about Jay-Z was both benign and bizarre.
According to recent rumblings, Jay penned a poem for his newborn daughter, Blue Ivy Carter, promising to no longer use the word "bitch."
"That poem and story are fake," said the Brooklyn emcee, according to nydailynews.com. "
